The Bidwell Hollow Podcast is a solo storytelling podcast that tells true, little-known stories about the lives and art of the world’s most famous writers and poets. The podcast is hosted by Nicholas Barron. Season 1 of the podcast is publishing weekly March 6-May 8, 2019. The podcast is available wherever people prefer to listen to podcasts.
Nicholas started Bidwell Hollow in January 2018 as a daily blog and podcast to fill the void left by The Writer’s Almanac. After The Writer’s Almanac returned in June 2018, Nick went back to the drawing board. The new Bidwell Hollow is a multichannel media company focused on telling true stories about the world’s writers and poets.

Where is Bidwell Hollow
Bidwell Hollow is a rugged valley in the eastern fingers of Missouri’s Ozarks. Located in Ste. Genevieve County, the hollow is near the small farm where Nicholas Barron grew up. Bidwell Holler, as it’s known to locals, is protected public land that’s part of Mark Twain National Forest.

Nicholas Barron is the founder and operator of Bidwell Hollow, LLC. He’s also the host of the Bidwell Hollow Podcast.
Nick is fascinated by the lives of creative people, including the happenstances, relationships, and seemingly random occurrences that impact their work. He loves discovering and sharing true stories about literary artists with Bidwell Hollow Podcast listeners.
Nick grew up on a small Missouri farm. In addition to Bidwell Hollow, he works as a digital communications professional in Washington, DC. Nick enjoys hiking, tennis, running, and of course, reading books. His favorite authors include Willa Cather and Cormac McCarthy. And among his favorite poets are Elizabeth Bishop and Robert Frost.
